MOSTRA LABORATORIO PERMANETE

La mostra permanente allestita a Palazzo Frangipane a cura della nostra Associazione presenta ai cittadini e agli appassionati la storia del carnevale tradizionale di Tarcento, con particolare riguardo alle sue caratteristiche maschere di legno, i “tomâts ”.
E’ anche un riconoscimento ai mascherai “di ieri”, che nei decenni del secolo scorso ne hanno costruito silenziosamente il valore, e ai mascherai “di oggi” che lo hanno saputo traghettare con entusiasmo e passione nel nuovo secolo.
La mostra permanente non intende essere una semplice testimonianza “museale” di un romantico passato, ma piuttosto un punto di partenza e uno stimolo al rinnovamento della tradizione di questo originale elemento della nostra cultura popolare, anche nell’interesse più ampio della comunità tarcentina.
La mostra è aperta al pubblico negli orari indicati o per visite guidate in altre date, previo accordo con il responsabile della nostra Associazione.

PERMANENT WORKSHOP EXHIBITION

The permanent exhibition set up at Palazzo Frangipane by our Association presents the history of the traditional carnival of Tarcento to citizens and enthusiasts, with particular attention to its characteristic wooden masks, the “tomâts”.
It is also a recognition of the mask makers “of yesterday”, who in the decades of the last century silently built its value, and to the mask makers “of today” who were able to ferry it with enthusiasm and passion into the new century.
The permanent exhibition does not intend to be a simple “museum” testimony of a romantic past, but rather a starting point and a stimulus to the renewal of the tradition of this original element of our popular culture, also in the broader interest of the Tarcentina community.
The exhibition is open to the public at the times indicated or for guided tours on other dates, by agreement with the manager of our Association.
